Summary:Paul Cezanne (Paul Cezanne,1839-1906) is considered as one of the greatest painter in the history of human civilization, his painting style has a far-reaching influence on the art history of the world, be praised as the watershed between traditional art and modern art.Generally speaking Cezanne’s art is on the borderline between the impressionist and cubist painting school, so it is necessary to do some researches on the style of impressionist and cubist painting. Impressionist artists usually take the very ordinary things as the depicted objects, focusing on the changing of the lights and shadow, as well as the impression of the time, the most common characteristics is the strokes not been modified and obvious. The most common feature is the brush stroke not been fully modified quite obvious.The main features of the Cubism Painting artists portray the things by using multiple angles, seeking a form of fragmentation, parse and reassemble.Before Cezanne the art of painting is just a radically mechanical imitation of the nature, Cezanne’s work is no longer the seeking of the natural reoccurrence, but the creation which is comes from the creative process combining the direct feelings of things in his personal Subjective consciousness.Cezanne considered the good work of art coming from the overall grasp of color, shape and space to reflect real natural, the Concept of Ugliness has a profound effect on the formation of Paul Cezanne, and reflected in each stage of Cezanne’s art.At the beginning of the20th century, modern art of painting begans to develop, experiencing the performance which transfers from objectively reflection to the emphasizing on subjective feelings,and the very bumpy journey from the concrete to the abstract.The artists fully open up their innovative spirit and creative consciousness. Cezanne’s main art theory can be summed up as Geometric forms, Color profiling, and deformation of art. His artistic ideas and art theory of modern art of painting [lays a very far-reaching impact on every important modern art of painting,that every elements of the modern art can be found in the thinking of Cezanne’s shadow. Cezanne has a great effect on the20th century’s artists and modern painting genre.,especially Cubism,which get a huge influencejust for this reason he can be considered as "the father of modern art".
