In the development process of future generations, gradually absorbing the traditional Confucian thoughts of filial piety and loyalty, drawn from moralization stories of the traditional Chinese three religions(Confucian, Buddhism and Taoism) and chapters of classical Chinese literature. As a music form which is popular in folk, its development and communication with obvious local characteristics. Now the existing local Extase mainly including Mianyang Extase, Zhouzhi Extase, Wenzhou Extase, Guanzhong Extase, Jinhua Extase, Changwu Extase, Gangu Extase and so on.As the source of Chinese civilization, Gangu has an important place in the history of Chinese civilization and culture since ancient times. According to the historian·Qin emperors:"At ten years of Qin Wugong(688BC), he attack Gui and Yirong, then establish the first County". Therefore GanGu enjoys a reputation of "Chinese first county". Since the Tang dynasty, Gangu is a important town on the Silk Road, played an important role in resisting foreign invasion and in the national exchange and integration, at the time of song dynasty, Gangu is worthy of the name "the market of tea and horse". Gangu Extase as a popular music performance form in Gangu’s urban and rural areas, it’s based broad, tunes deep, and show the people’s value orientation, sentiment and folk culture who living in this land from the level of art. Therefore the research of Gangu Extase has an important significance in grasp the relationship between the local music of Chinese and the culture of origin, the popularity and development of Gansu traditional folk music, and the construct of the Longyou regional folk art forms.The article is on the basis of absorption of previous research and extensive collection and finishing of Gangu Extase material, tries to comb and integrate from a historical perspective on Gangu Extase’s origin and development and spread, explore and investigate from a cultural perspective on traditional culture ideology and regional cultural characteristics behind Gangu Extase, and thinking and research from an artistic point on the characteristics of musical structure and scales tune style and paced beat and melodic. This article would like to do one’s bit on exploring and finishing and protection of Gangu Extase.
