This paper argues that when1927, MAO Dun turned to fiction as redemption for his own spiritual predicament, and "Eclipse" as the main representative of MAO Dun’s early novels clearly presented a kind of body-narrative characteristics, in which he showed his thought of ethic problems in the times of revolution. The author recorded the memory of a special historical period through the sensible experience of the body. He made the individual body emerge from the shelter of grand narrative of revolutionary history and national, the individuals drifting in the turbulent times have their own faces and feeling. This paper focus on that when MAO Dun was lost in the belief crisis, puzzled over the essence and future of the revolution, how did he presented his thought of a series of problems such as the essence of revolution, the relevance between revolution and individuals, the moral of the revolution, the possible way out of the situation, and so on, through individual ethic choices and body feelings in his early novels. The features of his writing in these narrative bodies are be analyzed, too.
