The Study On Yu Que And His Literature

There was a time that various authors who were minorities emerged on the basisof the great convergence of ethics during the Yuan dynasty. It is generallyacknowledged that Yu Que, a well-known litterateur, belongs to one of ethnicwriters who made a contribution on both poetry and literature so that his anthologybecomes posterity. Influenced by Confucian thought, he is categorized as thedemeanor of Confucianism at the perception of politic and literature regardless of hisminority race. In terms of politics, he was loyal to his emperor and citizens and hissacriifced his life for his motherland. At the aspect of literature, he was expert increating both poems and essays. Owing to his distinctive artistic style, the ninevolumes of Mr Qingyang Set’ was handed down from generation to generation. Asone of the ethnic authors in the Yuan dynasty, the creation of poetic prose of Yu Queis signiifcant to the improvement of poetry and literature between Yuan to Mingdynasty. Standing at the perception of Yu Que, the thesis will systematically studyhis prose creation, ideological values and artistic achievement.The introduction part is a summary of history and present according to Yu Que,which is synchronized with the exposure of the cause of topic selection. The ifrstchapter focuses on Y’u Ques life story, writings and social circles. In the first place,it is going to overview the literary developmental background in Yuan Dynasty andthe creative characteristics of those ethnic writer groups of Western Region. In thesecond place, it will describe the author’s entire life and his writing, which consistsof his family background, study experiences, oiffcial career and last but not the least,the events that he stationed An Qing, an isolated city, and eventually passed awaywith the invaded city. Furthermore, it will sketch his mass injection, calligraphy andpoetic prose creation. Finally, it is going to examine Yu Que’s inetrpersonalrelationship with his disciples and other literary intellectuals. The second chapterpays its attention to the a’uthors literary thoughts that will be studied on the theoryof literature writing and function respectively. In particular, they will be presented inthe way of the accomplishment of the author, work content, linguistic features,writing delivering ethics and so on to know how the literary thoughts of Yu Quemade positive effect on his own prose creation. The third chapter will especially disc’uss Yu Ques prose composition. For one thing, it will analyze the theme of hispoetic creation from his realistic poems, landscape poems, parting poems andpainting poems. Next, the presenting content of his poems, theme option, speechcharacteristics and aesthetic styles will be concentrated to do the research on hisartistic features. And in the chapter four, his essay composition will be analyzed aswell. In general, his essay values moral cultivation, advocates moral education,condemns the defects of that time and is full of patriotism. On the art expression, it isfamous for its special and unique writing feature such as the diverse format, plainlanguage, argumentative and simple style. Then，the thesis will be ended with thestatus and influence by which Yu Que’s literary creation brought.
