In pre-Qin period,due to the etiquette and music system,there is a strict hierarchybetween Emperor and Minister.The Minister has the responsibilities to Emperor,andhelp hin carry out the strategies for the country.therefore,the dialogue of Emperor andMinister reveals rhetoric sprout.Rhetoric can divide in a narrow sense,for example,Thebook of history and Mandarin Chinese,in a broad sense,strategies of the Warring States.The article is based on the theory of "restricted space-time narration",and revealsrhetoric sprout---"Mo" and "Xun", which is based on the discussion of The Book ofHistory. This part also points out the form and content over the dialogue of Emperor andMinister. And then this part discussed the famous record---Mandarin Chinese, andanalyzes its inheritance and development of The Book of History. It is very important tostudy the rhetoric of Legend of Spring and Autumn Century, Strategies of the WarringStates. On the one hand, the part researches the distinctive features of rhetoric in thisperiod which is based on the era background. On the other hand, this part studies thereason of canvass’s rhetoric which is based on the identity of crossbar schemer. Andthen it compares with Legend of Spring and Autumn Century. The discussion of TheWords of Mencius is fairly distinctive. Compared Mencius’s rhetoric with crossbarschemer’s canvass, it is not difficulty to find the similarity between them.The pre-Qin rhetoric shows the special speech between Emperor and Minister inthose times. The content of speech contains the prediction character. From the view oflinguistics, rhetoric is a speech that meticulously planed by canvasser. This rhetoricreflects the basic principle of communication, so we can refer it in today’scommunication.
