In the Kingdom of animation, due to the influence of regional culture as well asaesthetic habits and other factors, different countries gradually formed their own style ofanimation art. These artistic style has its own characteristics, we can explore its artistic level, but we can not simply put labels of " good" or "bad" on it, because each style has its ownunique artistic value and charm. What the author wants to say is that animation, as a kind ofspiritual entertainment, indeed has the difference of being pursued by the market or beingleft out in cold. Regardless of small experimental animation, market determines the successof most of animations and the survival and development of the companies. Therefore, animation workers must think of how to combine the art creation and business, how tocreate animation with higher artistry, more entertainment and visibility as well as broaderaudiences. Through the analysis of style of USA and Japanese animation, which combinethe two well and have wide audience and broad market share, and through the meticulouscomparison between Chinese animation and the two, this paper tries to figure out the reasonwhy our animation can not win widespread audiences. This paper begins with the artisticstyle and its development process of Chinese animation, introduces the proudest Chineseanimation artistic style and systematically compares it with USA and Japanese animation inthe aspects of materials’ meaning, expressing form and expressing way. In the process ofcomparison, the author is not always praising the USA and Japanese animation; the authoris not always denying Chinese animation which is not so well developed. Instead, with juststandpoint, the author observes and analyzes it with calm eyes, then draws the relativelyobjective conclusion. At the end of this paper, the author summarizes the comparison resultsof previous chapters, affirms the strengths and aspects of Chinese animation. At the sametime, the author gives some her own opinions on how to get Chinese animation out of thebottleneck of development. Every Chinese wishes that our own animation could get furtherdevelopment and all of us are willing to pay more efforts for the arrival of this day.
