There are plenty of folk songs in HeBei Province. These folk songs come from theagricultural society, which are the embodiment of the age, and show the feelings and theviews of the working people. At the same time, they are the crystallization of the collectivewisdom of the working people. However, due to the changes in modern society, the conceptof time is changing, while foreign culture is input, and the methods of the emotionalexpression gradually are richer, and modern technology has brought the splendor ofentertainment. All of these make the traditional HeBei folk songs difficult to meet the needsof modern people, and the value and the times spirit from them do not match with themodern social. As a result, these traditional folk songs mainly relied on mouths lost itssurvival soil to have to face the threat of being eliminated by the times.This paper is based on this background to explore the causes that HeBei folk songs lostin the crisis. Then a populist general advice is put forward. First of all, this paper explainsthe basic situation of HeBei folk songs, which contains its development course, stylecharacteristic and a brief overview of cultural values and so on. This is valuable for the left.Then, in this paper, the status quo of the protection and inheritance of folk songs in HeBeihas been showed from many perspectives such as its existence space, new social aspects ofthe idea of people which find that there are difficulties in the future. Based on this, thispaper puts forward the related measures about the protection and the inheritance of Hebeifolk songs. On the one hand, it needs to improve the protection system, which containsestablishing and perfecting the law, increasing financial input and supporting measures,formulating and carried out the census, relying on the experts’ guidance, etc. On the otherhand, it needs to improve the inheritance mechanism, such as paying special attention to thetransfer of training of folk songs, strengthening education, reforming on music education,and enhancing communication with foreign art and so on.
