According to the nature and concept of metadiscourse, this paper does the researchfrom a whole new perspective——classroom metadiscourse in basic Chineseconversation class.Classroom metadiscourse is words that teachers use to expressnon-text context.It includes discourse of classroom organization and management,convergence discourse of teaching content takeover, inspiration, turning point, advance,repeat and questioning, guide discourse of triggering students to participate in classroomactivities and giving feedback to students.This paper mainly studies:1. Introducing the concept of classroom metadiscourse, including definition,characteristics and nature of classroom metadiscourse in basic Chinese conversation.2. It is the important and creative part of this paper. This part sums up the sixprimary forms through contacting classroom teaching practice and analyzing effectiveclassroom discourse. The six primary forms are greeting metadiscourse, importingmetadiscourse, instructing metadiscourse, questioning metadiscourse, repairingmetadiscourse and feedback metadiscourse.3. Combined with the start, expand and end of discourse turn, the text givesexamples to summarize common metadiscourse markers of teaching.4.
