A Review Of Eagleton’s Cultural Criticism Theory

Eagleton is an important representative of contemporary western culture Marxism,he’s unique theory of cultural criticism plays an indelible role in the cultural studies.According to Marxism, he always deeply analyses the phenomena of modern westernculture. His criticism is thought-provoking, which it is worthy of thinking about. Theresearch object of this paper is Eagleton’s theory of cultural criticism, and this paperis based on reading, thinking and summarizing the relative theories of Eagleton toreveal its basic connotation and value of cultural critical theory.
