Chen Zi’ang And The World Of Poetry Between Primary Age And Glorious Age Of Tang Dynasty

In the ancient poetry in the history, there were too many pioneering reformers to count, and Chen Zi’ang was one of them. He was a famous poet in the early Tang Dynasty, who vigorously promote the reform of poetic style after Wang Ji and "Chu Tang Si Jie"(A literary group that contains four poets who were famous in the early Tang Dynasty.) Chen Zi’ang advocated his poetry theory, and this theory stimulated the poetry of Tang Dynasty thriving and prosperous, guided the literature in early Tang Dynasty to establish new ethos and style. After that, the poetry world of the early Tang Dynasty ushered a new period. Furthermore, his literary advocation and poetry not only influenced the poetry world of the early Tang Dynasty deeply, also laid a foundation for the poetry of glorious age of Tang Dynasty. Consequently, studying such an important figure in the history of literature of the early Tang Dynasty, especially in poetry research, played a promoting role.This paper is divided into five chapters, the first chapter discusses two aspects contains life stories of Chen Zi’ang and his thoughts. I focus on the annals of the study, I find that the time of scholars of Chen Zi’ang should be set in684. Furthermore, according to the record, We will find Empress Wu is so cruel that the Empress Wu Group under the guise of Duan Jan to slaughter Chen Zi’ang is impossible. The second chapter is the analysis about Chen Zi’ang’s poetic theory, this is the basis point. In the third chapter, firstly I summarize the poetry’s content of Chen Zi’ang in bullet form, in accordance of the poetry’s content sum up the emotion that his poetry wants to express. At last, I summarize the poetry’s features.The fourth chapter is the focus of this article, in this chapter, I epitomize the situation of the early Tang Dynasty at the turn of poetry, and then try to analyze the acceptance to Chen Zi’ang of the poets who were in late of the early Tang Dynasty. In the fifth chapter, I elaborate on his influence and contribution to the following poetry according to Chen Zi’ang’s poetry theory and the poetry content.
