As an official, Tangbin spend all his lifetime in the service of Shunzhi and Kangxidynasty. He made great achievements in his official career, his moral was purity,and hisarticles were elegant. He also made outstanding contributions in philosophy,historiography and literature and so on.In early days of the Qing dynasty, scholars and ideologists made deep and profoundreflections on history. On one way, they keep a watchful eye on social structuretransformation and social principal contradiction. On the other way, they searched forthe reason that cased China the Divine Land upsetting on the academic culturaldimension, and calmly thought over deeply about that one dynasty with three hundredyears was replaced by another one in only a moment, and at the same time, they madesummarization, criticizing and reflection on traditional ideology and culturemodification.As a famous scholar in the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, Tang Bin also reflectedactively and thought calmly. After researching the impractical disadvantages cased inthe later Ming Dynasty of after-Yangming-school, Tangbin raised the idea of practicalphilosophy with idealist color. Tang Bin academic idea was to elaborate Yangming’Extension of Intuitive Knowledge and inherited Zhuxi’ Neo-Confucianism. Tang Bin’idea emphasized heaven with the original, and addition to stress that senses were inhuman daily life. In cultivation of human temperament, Tang Bin thought we shouldfirst get to know the nature of conscience, and then practiced in daily life and toreminded laws and senses from time to time. He also respected the power of sitting-in,and said epiphany came after accumulation. In moral practice, he stressed the correctionof fault to the glorious discern, and distinguished justice from benefit. Whenever as anofficial or an ordinary man,he could practice what he advocated and self-motivation,which caused people to admired him so much.Tang Bin not only owned inherent virtue, but also practiced the matters. Heaffected the masses with his genuineness. Thought he faced all kinds of predicament,he can still mortised sense, and never transform. Tang Bin knowledge and performancereflected the characteristics practice of Neo-Confucianism at beginning of the QingDynasty.
