Since thereform and opening up, China has been experiencing tremendous changes politically,economically, culturally and other aspects are also changed. In the mid-late1980’s, withthe deepening of reform and opening-up, the fierce collision of ideas, TV began to reflectthe rural people in the new era of life. Since21stCentury, the rural drama in the Northeastdrama led, began to show the modern rural style on the screen." Black land","Yellowearth ","Northeast wind ","Northwest wind " will be different culture and country lifesituation in front of the audience.Secondly, through an analysis of the condition of Chinese rural themed TV in thepast five years, we can discovered that the main problems of its development are poormarket circulation due to regional differences between the north and south; the contentreflects little on reality leading to its lack of social value; promotional campaign fails tomake impact on the audience in a long run. This paper makes a case analysis on differentregional culture of Chinese rural teleplays development, through the contrast between myhome is Dongting Lake and Country Love, to find reasons for the development of ruralteleplays north-south imbalance. That is in regional culture of different restricted ruraldrama shooting, but consumer orientation, language barriers and obstacles to thedevelopment of economic environment to the southern rural theme TV series will be easier.Finally, this paper proposed a number of measures to speed up the development ofChinese rural themed TV, on the basis of study about the rural drama in the five years. Inthe process of its industrial development, a deeper care to real living condition and ahigher quality of the scripts is the key principle; it is important to enhance the artistic levelin production and cater to audience’s aesthetic needs with an observation of real rural lives;ensuring a production with sensible details is also important to deliver an authentic taste toaudiences. Besides, during the promotion stage, it is suggested to put extra effort andfocus on production team capability and overall package, strengthen every links in therural drama industrial chain, and build a healthy and equitable system, so as to promotethe development of Chinese rural themed TV to a new level.
