On The Characteristic Words Of Pinghua Dialect

Guangxi is rich in Chinese dialects,eg. Southwestern Mandarin dialects, Hakka dialects,Yue dialects,Ping dialects,Min dialects,Xiang dialects and etc. As one of the most important dialects in Guangxi, Ping dialects is extensively distributed geographically and widely used by a big population. Whereas Ping dialects differentiate from each other in different place, it is divided into Southern and Northern branch academically. But within one single dialect category, the two branches share more commonness than the divergences so as to integrate different dialect regions. Thus, the research on the internal commonness has become a necessity within which the study of Characteristic Words is one of the most pivotal subjects.After a thorough research of Silian branch of Ping dialects in the Suburb of Nanning,this thesis based all its theories on the Silian Ping dialects on the phonetic, vocabulary and historical aspects, referred to the research of29Ping dialects samples conducted by professor Li Lianjin, namely, Fumian/Yulin, Tangbu......Nabi/Baise, then sorted out the common characteristic words exist in different areas. This research provides us more sufficient and ample evidences to the classification of Ping dialects.
