With rapid development of automobile engineering, the connection of automobileengineering corporations of our country is increasingly tightened with corporationsabroad. In the process of cooperation, automobile engineering translation becomes thebridge and bond. Translations for automobile engineering related materials play animportant role in promoting China’s automobile engineering development. The authorhas had three months internship in FAW-GM Light Duty Commercial Vehicle Co.,Ltd., and possessed a certain amount of automobile engineering professionalknowledge, as well as translation skills. The source text, Jiefang L330ProductImprovement Proposals, is a translation material during internship. This paper is areflective research report on the translation process of the text.This paper includes five parts. The author develops his line of thought by"analyzing problems—finding problems—solving problems—drawing conclusions"pattern. First comes a brief introduction to the program, pointing out that the sourcetext is a task-based text; then comes the source text analysis from stylistic feature,specific terms feature and sentence feature aspects, so as to better understand thesource-text; the third part introduces the translation process and difficulties.
