On Concert Throry And Practice Of Artistic Songs Composed By Lu Zaiyi:Song Of Nostalgia

Song of Nostalgia (2004) is a representative works composed by Mr. Lu Zaiyi, the mature phase of his creation, whose artistic songs are masterpieces among contemporary Chinese works. Recent years, while this song is often sung by some singers or vocalists on concerts or competitions, there are few academic studies on it domestically.The thesis is to explore principles and methods of singing this song from such aspects as analyzing and understanding the song, adoption of singing techniques, and command of musical style. Thus, the thesis begins with textual analysis of the song, musical analysis of composing background, and artistic experience of singing, in light of research in poetry, composition and phonetics, with reference to personal experience in singing this song. Lastly, the thesis tries to be heuristic and referential to instructors and singers in this field by finding some fundamental regularities of Bel Canto in singing Chinese artistic songs.Through exploring the basic rules of bel canto singing Chinese art songs, we will provide the reference for the teaching and in this field.
