The Study Of Tea-Calices Art In Tang And Song Dynasty Of China

Tea originated in China, Tea-drinking and Tea-tasting has been an important part of Chinese people’s daily lives for a long time. Tea-drinking in china has a long history, Tea-drinking and Tea-tasting can’t do without tea set, Tea Calices is one of the most important tea set since ancient times, Tea Calices, As a common tool used for drinking of tea by people in the past time, is a kind of container which looks like a bowl but shallower than the bowl, limited by its function its basic-type with a very wide mouth but a narrow foot. Most of them are smaller than the bowl but bigger than the wineglass. The art of Tea Calices evolved together with the evolvement of our ancient tea culture. According to historical data research, people generally believe that the real tea-drinking culture of china should be "rising in the Tang dynasty and booming in the Song dynasty". In fact, Tea Calices used for drinking of tea also began to rise and bloom during the Tang and Song dynasties, Thus, for our current continuous innovation and development in the field of art and design, it has a very important inspiration and reference significance to study the development of tea calices art during the Tang and Song dynasties. That’s why I choose such a theme as the title of my thesis.This thesis is divided into five main parts as following:First, the opening introduction, a brief introduction to the object and purpose of this study, the research ideas throughout the whole thesis, the main approach adopted in process of this study,the status quo of research about this topic and the innovation; Second, the first chapter of the body, analysis of the tea calices art in china’s Tang dynasty period, divided into four sections, in turn, mainly introduced the source of the tea calices art separated from the wine and food vessel, the main representative, showing the main features and the social and human condition hidden behind the tea calices; Once again, the second chapter of the body, also the main contents of this article, refer to the previous chapter’s organized structure, divided into four sections, introduced the art of tea calices start to bloom in the Song Dynasty after following the Tang Dynasty, the main representative, presents the main characteristics and reflect the underlying social and cultural situation of people of the Song Dynasty; Again, the third chapter of the body, basis of previous chapter described the situation of tea calices during the Tang and Song both dynasties periods, to compare tea calices and to reflect the differences and connections between the two periods; Finally, the last chapter of the body, a brief introduction to the impact of the development and evolution of our later generations ceramic art design from tea calices during Tang and Song both periods.
