Restudy The Site Of Dong Xiafeng

The site of Dong Xiafeng is an important cultural remains that belongs Erlitou period in the south of Shanxi. Many scholars research it from the perspective of cultural factors analysis, and gradually established the peripheral culture that relationship with it, such as the phase of Longshan culture in the south of Shanxi, Erlitou culture, Pre-Shang culture, Baiyan culture, Zhu Kaigou culture of Inner Mongolia, Dong Longshan culture of Shanxi, etc. This paper will be on the basis of make full use the published archaeological materials, and reference to previous research results, through the remains of the Dong Xiafeng site, discuss the contact with different cultures, including the route and the process of population migration.Specifically, the article will divide into six parts:Part I:Summarize the geographical environment and the research status of the site, along with the article’s writing ideas and methods, points out the possible problems and insufficiency.Part II:Depending on the relics of the Dong Xiafeng site, carding some relics’evolution process that continues for a long time, or more prominent characteristics, for instance pottery、production tools and weapons that made by the bone and the stone、bronze, preliminary confirm the remaining six phase of the three period of stage characteristics:period I and period II independent development; period III and period Ⅳ communicate frequently; period V and period Ⅵ in the subordinate status.Part III:Analysis eight class remains’own characteristics of the site, eg: burial、house address. Through the remains’distribution trait to probe the crowd of the Dong Xiafeng range of every period and the change of groups. Come to the conclusion that there’s a number of new immigrants coming into the site each period since period III.Part IV:Mainly from the ash pit, bronze and cast bone’s characteristics or find area, to supplement the previous part of the content. Explain the main body of Dong Xiafeng site’s continuity, and immigrant population’s impact on its development.Part V:By comparing the similarities or differences between the Dong Xiafeng site and the surrounding cultural sites, discusses the culture’s communication direction and time. Finally, come to a conclusion that there must be a flow of crowd between different populations during the process of the Dong Xiafeng site’s development.Part VI:Conclusion, that we are not sure where is the mainly body of Dong Xiafeng people come from in the moment time. But in period I and period II, the site keeps its original cultural landscape; during period III and period IV, Dong Xiafeng site gradually into the realms of Xia dynasty; to the period of V and VI, the people accept the leadership of Shang dynasty.
