The Research Of Eating Utensils Characters Of Shuo Wen Jie Zi

The object of the paper is eating utensils characters of Shuo Wen Jie Zi. I try to analyze and research them from the font and the meaning of characters.The paper contains five chapters.The introduction part mainly introduces the research status, the reason, research value and research contents and methods of eating utensils characters of Shuo Wen Jie Zi.The first chapter describes eating utensils collection of each radical, then according to the function of eating utensils.all characters are divided into feeder, wine and multi-function equipment. Based on the three categories.they are further subdivided into various categories.The second chapter, according to the font analysis and combining the specific font,I divide eating utensils characters of Shuo Wen Jie Zi into two categories: pictographic and echoism. On the basis of analyzing the font, the paper discusses the ideographic characteristics of every categorie, and then draw the font characteristics of eating utensils characters of Shuo Wen Jie Zi. Due to font style had the very big evolution, this paper has carried on the eating utensils characters font with oracle seal script, character contrast, and discusses the evolution and differences of eating utensils characters of Shuo Wen Jie Zi.The third chapter has analyzed meaning evolution of eating utensils characters of Shuo Wen Jie Zi. First of all, I investigate their original meaning, and chose5characters to analyze exactly, for scholars have different explanations. Then I analyze the specific situation of the meaning evolution from the angle of the exsiting and vanishing of original meaning and comprehensive modern dictionaries. Because there are a variety of categories of word meaning evolution,1select representative eating utensils characters to state. At last I chose some special eating utensils characters to analyze their meanings, in order to find the skeleton of meaning evolution, and explore the reasons why the new words comes in. The special eating utensils characters are the sacrificial vessel characters——ding(鼎)、zun(尊)、jue(爵)and feeder characters——pan(盘)、dou(斗).The fourth chapter is the conclusion of the paper.
