Ancient Greece is the cradle of western civilization, is the birthplace ofphilosophy, ethics, science and other knowledge. Wealth ethics in ancient Greece isthe origin of western wealth ethics thought, the ancient Greek thinkers put forward alot of wealth with ethical connotation and moral connotations, ideas, these ideas forthe construction of today’s new wealth ethics of our country has important guidingsignificance. Thought-provoking, wealth ethics and the pre-qin Confucian ethicsthought in ancient Greece as the cradle of western and Chinese ethics wealth thought,both exist differences in many aspects. Owing to the two different ideas influence andimpact, Chinese and western takes on a quite different phenomenon in the process ofthe development of commodity economy, modern. This paper conception expoundthe wealth ethics in ancient Greece, sorting out ancient Greek thinkers of the moralcognition and ethical thoughts of wealth. Based on ancient Greek wealth ethics as thecore, to ancient Greek wealth ethics thought and the pre-qin Confucian ethics thoughtof the comparison as the main research content. Through the exploration andcomparison, reveal differences under the background of its different thought,demonstrate its distinct historical destiny, analysis the limitations of its historicalvalue, thus for our country socialism new wealth ethics provides positive reference tothe research and construction.Specifically, this dissertation includes the following aspects: the first chapter tellsthe social background of ancient Greece. This chapter writes from three aspects,political background, economic background, the cultural context, aiming to explainthat the ancient Greek concept of wealth is created in such a big background. Thesecond chapter tells the main content of wealth ethics in ancient Greece. Thischapter,which is one of the important chapters of this thesis, trys to keep digging onthe basis of previous studies. It divides into four aspects to specifically describe themain content of wealth ethics in ancient Greece—from people’s viewpoint to viewwealth, emphasis the close relationship between the wealth and virtue, emphasis themoral way to gain wealth, require to treat the distribution of wealth fair. The thirdchapter tells the characteristics of wealth ethics in ancient Greece. This chapter isanother focus of this paper, starting on the elaboration and analysis of wealth ethics inancient Greece, points the characteristic of ancient Greek ethics wealth thought. This chapter contains the following points: humanism, morality and pioneering. The fourthchapter tells wealth ethics and the pre-qin Confucian ethics thought in ancient Greece.This chapter is also the focus of this paper, the general first expounded the maincontent of the pre-qin Confucian ethics wealth thought, then wealth ethics thought andthe pre-qin Confucian ethics thought in ancient Greece were compared, analysis of thesimilarities and differences, to further reveal the ancient Greek wealth ethics thoughtand the pre-qin Confucian ethics thought of the different fate. The fifth chapter tellsthe ancient Greek wealth ethics review and enlightenment. This chapter following theabove, the main content of the ethics thought of ancient Greek wealth after overallgrasp, to a certain wealth ethics in ancient Greece comprehensive judgement andanalysis and evaluation, investigation in wealth ethics in ancient Greece ethics historycontribution and importance, and its practical significance.
