Study Of Liusen’s Bamboo Flute Art

LiuSen is a well-known player, conductor, and educator of bamboo flute in China. He set up his own style of art and paved his own way for followers to learn and develop since1950s. He and his followers contributed a lot to the art of bamboo flute music, so Liu Style was used to name vigorous and attractive play of bamboo flute. Several methodology and skills in Chinese flute playing were just invented or introduced by him, such as "Suitable for singing" methodology, half hole fingering, etc. This thesis is mainly to discuss the art of Mr.Liu from the aspects of his life, his style and its influence, and the feature of his art.
