Research On Relatives Appellation Of Henan Chorography

Since ancient times, by virtue of its prime location, Henan Province,in the hnter-land of the Central Plains,occupies a pivotal position in the history of the Chinese nation and Chinese civilization. Research on Henan dialect, is an "ideal sample" of the study on language evolution. This article selects the still inadequate research on Henan dialect relatives appellation terms as the research object, and tries to reveal some characteristics in the evolution of the Henan dialect kinship appellation.The article corpora in Henan local Chronicles are given priority to. Chorography, also called local chronicles, is a miracle of Chinese culture. There are still no such cultural categories in other countries yet. According to statistics, about11000kinds of Chinese existing local records in the world, contains rich dialect materials, such as relatives appellation, proverbs, etc. But few people study on local relatives appellation. This article intends to study Henan local chronicles of relatives appellation, trying to expand the scope of language research corpus of the Henan local history Kinship Terms.This article selects the15pairs of relatives appellation terms as the object of the analysis and research, describes them of the modern and mid-Qing chorography in Henan, and analyzes its appellation types and each type of geographical distribution. It is found that within the region of Henan province, the relatives appellation terms turn out so different. Not only on the type, but on geographic distribution, it has presented a huge difference.Through the research on relatives appellation of modern Henan chorography, it is found that:first, there is a clear system of Henan dialect relatives appellation terms, which cannot be broken by external other systems; second, Henan dialect relatives appellation is bounded roughly to the Beijing-Guangzhou line. There are regional differences of the system. Also it is different from the eight dialects area divided by HE Wei, based on speech characteristics. By comparison of kinship terms in the two periods of the modern and the mid-Qing Henan local history, it is found that the Henan dialect relatives has a striking feature of the Henan dialect spoken in the inheritance system is very strong, and has certain stability. But there is a change in the stability. The most obvious point is that the increased regional differences. The modern regional difference in the modern is more apparent than that of mid-Qing.
