Drama,our country has always been known for cultural and artistic treasures,in the Chinese ancientdramas on the stage,with “Zhuang Yuan”for the content of the play goes on.“Zhuang Yuan”,is a productcharacteristic of feudal society in China,since the abolition of the imperial examination system from the Suidynasty to its more than1300years,which lead to a broad and lasting impact in the community,it is not onlythe highest of intellectual pursuit in ancient China,also became the most loudest words in ancient Chinesesociety.To date, this effect has still not subsided,“Zhuang Yuan”“Zhuang Yuan culture” prevalent in ourlives.This essay aims to investigate "get the honor of Zhuang Yuan" motif in the plays of Ming Legendary.Through generalizing and analyzing this theme, viewing how the imperial examination system impacts ondifferent sectors of society, this article regarding this topic as a foundation and then further discussed itsprofound social connotation.This paper is divided into four major parts. The introduction mainly expounds and demonstrates theorigin of the selected topic and the research subject, briefly describes the research history of the "get thehonor of Zhuang Yuan" motif, and then concisely introduces the research methods that employed in thisessay.The first chapter succinctly presents the wide distribution of the motif of "get the honor of ZhuangYuan" in Ming Legendary and illustrated the related reasons of this phenomenon.
