With the continuous development of economy, people’s living standard has co nstantly improved. At the same time, the Chinese Communist party and the gover nment have continued to pay high attention to national culture and art. Because o f these two reasons, the social activities which are held by Korean national muse um of Art in Harbin are even more active. This museum not only serves for the Korean-Chinese in Harbin, but also serves for the Korean-Chinese of other c ities and counties in Heilongjiang Province. Although Shangzhi city, Wuchang City, Acheng City, Yanshou county and other places in Heilongjiang Province also hav e their own special Korean-Chinese museums of art, cultural centers (stations), Palaces of Culture and other Korean-Chinese Culture institutions and places, the Korean-Chinese national museum of art in Harbin plays an important role in t he development of Korean-Chinese culture in Heilongjiang Province. This muse um not only plays a significant role in the cultural field, but also in the field of language, academic and in some other important fields, such as the Korean-Chi nese Economic and Cultural Permission Association, the University of the Aged, t he Senior Citizens Association, the Newspaper Group, Sorority and other civil soc iety’s cultural societies and organizations, as well as provincial Korean Language Society, provincial Korea Language Seminar and other provincial Korean-Chines e societies. At present, this museum is the only large center where regular activiti es held for the Korean-Chinese in Harbin and this place is also easy for the K orean-Chinese to have other activities nearby. Seen in this light, this museum n ot only plays an important role in Harbin’s Korean-Chinese cultural inheritance and development, but also important for Heilongjiang Province’s.This paper uses this research method-sociology of music to do a preliminar y research on this museum’s background, art activities, achievements, and social i nfluence, and then explore the development of the museum to see its outstanding contribution to the Korean-Chinese cultural undertaking in Harbin and Heilongji ang Province. This paper is divided into five chapters:the first chapter is the intr oduction; it puts forward the research background, research content, research purpo se and meaning. The second chapter is the general description of the museum, in eluding culture and art background of Harbin and creation overview of the museu m. The third chapter mainly talks about this museum’s art and other activities un der the planned economy period (1950-1991), and analyzes its art and other act ivities during this period. The fourth chapter analyzes the museum’s art activities, cultural exchange activities, pavilion activities and other activities under the marke t economy period (1992-2012). The fifth chapter is the conclusion. It discusses this museum’s historical status and effect, then summarizes its contribution and po sition in the Korean-Chinese Society of Heilongjiang Province.I hope my paper can play a helpful role for those who study this museum’s development and artistic activities, and offer a reference value for the future devel opment of the Korean-Chinese culture and provide theoretical reference basis fo r the healthier development of Harbin Korean-Chinese cultural undertakings.
