The Yongle red glaze porcelain is a boutique of Chinese ancient red glaze porcelains.It is a beneficial attempt to study the aesthetic of glaze for Yongle red glaze porcelain, bywhich we can understand the specific aesthetic feeling of Yongle red glaze porcelain, andfurthermore, appreciate the deep meaning of The Yongle red glaze porcelain is mostprecious·written in the Catalogue of Jingdezhen Porcelains.According to literature research, investigation and Semiotics research methods, thispaper studied on the glaze color of Yongle red glaze porcelain including variouscollections from ancient and modern literatures, handed down works, and archaeologicalexcavations. The natural aesthetic, aesthetic of craft, aesthetic of charm are deeplyanalyzed and the background for Yongle red glaze porcelain developed to the peak isfurther analyzed in terms of the concept of Porcelains carry principle·.During Yongle period, the status of red glaze porcelain increased, the level of craftincreasingly developed and the color of glaze tended to be pure, which resulted from thediversity of national aesthetic pursuit in the early Ming Dynasty, then, people changedfrom advocating Jade·to advocating Precious·. In addition, the pursuit for red glaze canbe regarded as utilitarianism of imperial aesthetics during Yongle reign.
