Many studies on the poetry of Wang Fuzhi are about Jiang Zhai Shi Hua, but thestudy on Tang Shi Ping Xuan is few. Tang Shi Ping Xuan, one of his masterpieces, isone of the most representative works of his poetic thought. Poetry works reflect poeticthoughts and Wang Fuzhi’s criticism on Tang Dynasty comes into sharp contrast withthe great achievements made at that time. Therefore, it has great significance on studiesof Wang Fuzhi’s poetic thought through the study of Tang Shi Ping Xuan.The paper is divided into four parts:The first part mainly focuses on Wang Fuzhi’s life, his work Tang Shi Ping Xuan,research condition and this paper’s innovation. Wang Fuzhi’s poetic thought is closelyrelated to his life experiences. The first part provides a macroscopic frame for theresearch of Wang Fuzhi’s poetic thought.The second part explains the instances of Tang Shi Ping Xuan and Wang Fuzhi’scriticism standard in detail. Tang Shi Ping Xuan is different from the mainstreamthought of that time. Wang Fuzhi’s criticism thought is analyzed by means of theevaluation made on other poetries. And it can be concluded as emotion orientation andharmony orientation.The third part focuses on the main category of Wang Fuzhi’s Poetic, whichproduces his poetic thought. A systematic introduction is made on the category of XingYi Shi on the basis of emotion orientation and peace orientation, from which we canexactly get Wang Fuzhi’s poetic thought.The fourth part explains the significance made in selected Tang works of Qingdynasty from the perspective of the value of Tang Shi Ping Xuan. Although there aremany selected Tang poetry works in Qing Dynasty and Tang Shi Ping Xuan is not verypopular at that time, Wang Fuzhi’s respect for poetry and his distinct criticism on Tangpoetries provides a multi-angles for criticism standards, and has great influence on thefollowing scholars who study Tang poetry.
