Teaching vocabulary is the most important part in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, so the English annotations of new words play an important role. The reasonable English comments can help students learn the meanings and usages of the words and improve the learning efficiency. But different languages can not be corresponded completely, so the English notes will not be accurate. Now TCFL textbooks is various, and with various features, so this article takes"Developed Chinese"primary Chinese(bookl&book2) as an example, hope can find out the advantages and disadvantages in the English notes of new words, find out the cause and solution and to provide reference for the later TCFL textbooks writers and the TCFL teachers.This paper makes an analysis of the problems in English notes from three parts:semantic equivalence between Chinese and English, partial semantic equivalence between Chinese and English and other conditions. The problems:1. Don’t consider the students master different regional English;2. Don’t notice Chinese and English words have a lot of ambiguity phenomenon and homonymy phenomenon;3. In fixed phrases and syntactic format, only annotate the new words;4. The English annotations changed the style of language;5. The problems of the tagging kinds of the words.Based on the principle of notes and the analysis of the problems of the English annotations, to sums up the reasons for these problems and puts forward some strategies to help solve these problems. Reasons (?) The changes of the words’meanings;2. Different cultural backgrounds of the language and their different additional meanings; 3. The different relationships of collocation between different languages. The strategies:1. Only annotate the meanings in the texts;2. The annotations will not be away from the context of the text;3. Annotate the morphemes add the words;4. Add the Chinese annotations appropriately.
