The Preliminary Exploration Of New Words In Teaching Chinese As A Foreign Language

New words teaching in TCFL is a research topic worthy of paying attentions. Thispaper not only elaborates on how to use new words teaching scientifically in TCFLbased on the definitions, components, characteristics and causes of new words，but alsoexplores the selection criteria, teaching principles, teaching strategies and methods bylooking into the current situation of new words learning and teaching and analyzing theexisting problems in new words teaching.This paper explores new words teaching in TCFL by four methods：literatureresearch、questionnaire survey、data analysis and example list. In questionnaire survey,foreign students and foreign language teachers are the objects of investigation on thequestionnaire. The purpose is to know better students’ and teachers’ attitudes andopinions on the new words and new words teaching and to learn more about new wordsteaching current situation and existing problems.This paper is divided into seven parts. The first part is introduction, which explainsthe background and general development of this topic research. The second part is anoverview of Chinese new words. The third chapter elaborates the status and role of newwords play in TCFL from several aspects. The fourth chapter mainly uses questionnairesurvey, investigating the problems existing in the teaching of new words. The fifthchapter mainly elaborates the Chinese new words selection criteria and principles ofteaching. The sixth chapter puts forward the teaching strategies and teaching methods ofthe new words. The last part draws conclusions on the central topic and emphasizes theimportance of new words teaching in TCFL.I hope that the preliminary study on the new words in TCFL can cause Chineseteaching fields to pay more attention to the new words in TCFL.
