This paper is based on the detailed study and design practices and committed toconduct systematic research on such popular cartoon physics games and analyze theirconstituent elements and the players’ psychological experiences.This paper analyzes the meaning of the cartoon physics games from two angles ofthe art style and the movement mechanism, and sum up that the cartoon physics gamesare evolved from the traditional casual games and it’s just a new form due to the digitaltechnology. And we can classify the games from two angles of the content and themovement pattern. This kind of games meets the consumers’ demand of screenentertainment in the visual attention time and they can enjoy the game anytime andanywhere. The kind of games realizes the unity of artistic exaggeration and objectiveauthenticity, create a rough, simple but very interesting game format.The constitutes of cartoon physics games conclude three square degrees: theaesthetic layout, the basic mechanisms and the incentive systems. Aesthetic layout ofthe game is the core element to polish the game experiences. The cartoon physics gameshave vivid roles and the endowed with vitality. The cartoon roles make it shorter thedistance between the players and the games. And the games’ screen is fresh and colorful,full of strong visual impact, and sound is funny and exaggerated to deepen the player’simmersion. The basic mechanisms are the design principles of the games. Cartoonphysical games use the physical materials and physical rules to construct the simulationphysical world, the game character and the player’s fingers both move in lines. And thephysical rules make the game full of randomness and challenges. A good incentivesystem will let players feel satisfied, and the reward and punishment system of cartoonphysics game is that a small input connects a big feedback, at the same time, the awardis heavy but the punishment is light.This paper analyzes the player’s psychological experience on the basis of a detailedanalysis of the games’ constitutes, the surrounding environment and psychologicalneeds of the players. Cartoon physics games can promote the players’ positive emotionsand release the negative emotions. To verify the above inference, this paper designed anexperimental program and carried out the experiment using the adjective checklistmethod and facial expressions method. The experimental results are highly consistentwith the inferences. So the paper obtained that successful cartoon physics games canplay the role of relaxation and can contribute to the thinking of the players.
