Fangchenggang City is located in the southern coast of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is a Chinese dialect and minority language mixed area. The local vernacular belongs to Qinlian Cantonese. But compared with the dialect of Qinzhou City and Beihai City, it has a low attention, the research are not many. This thesis is based on the Fangchenggang City which included Gangkou District, Fangcheng District, Dongxing City (county-level city), the three areas where Cantonese is in common used, so we can fully reveal the Cantonese phonological face of the city.This thesis is divided into four parts and includes five chapters.The first part is the first chapter, introducing the basic situation of Fangchenggang City (including geographical location, history, administrative division, population and nationalities, language appearance), Fangchenggang Cantonese which belongs to Qilian Cantonese, as well as to some content details like the specific investigation, investigation method, the information of speakers. The second part includes the second chapter and the third chapter, is the main content which show the phonology for the Fangchenggang Cantonese in four survey points (including three major survey points and a supplementary survey point), finishing Phonetic System with table, comparing the common speech feature and summarizing internal dialect differences.The third part is the fourth chapter, as the monographic study of speech, specifically describes the lateral-fricative [] in Guangxi Cantonese, source statistics from phonological, points out that the frontier-fricative [t] exist as the allophones of lateral-fricative [], inductives scholar’s views and puts forward our own view. The last part is the fifth chapter, is the summary of the thesis and deficiencies.
