Women Arts is a unique and can-not-be-ignored school of art in the history ofChinese contemporary painting self-portraits form-based. Self-portrait which is an artlanguage, from female identity and female perspective, self-describes or conveys anartistic language of their own life and values, this language has its own unique artisticvalue, mainly reflected in the "self-existent" based and the close relation of "I" with thetimes, culture, social life, environment, and to some extent, it’s on behalf of the currentspecific groups in specific the reality of the situation under the self-image andself-existent state, where not only is the portrayal of self-image, but more refers to thedepict of social attributes and groups attribute depicted.Parsing to female self-portrait and the existence of the subject is based on thebackground of the specific history of Chinese women painting and Western’sexistentialist theory, including the vertical scan of Western women art Evolutiondevelopment from far and near and the horizontal scan of Chinese different femalepainter self-portrait case study at the same time period. Women make self-study,self-understanding, self-realization and go beyond the self through self-portrait art. Theynot only be aware of the existence of their own existence, but also introspect on theexistence of its own existence. They not only show the value and meaning of their ownexistence in the personal living space, but also express the delicate relationship betweenman and nature, human being and society.This paper, by the depth study of female self-portrait, using "self" and"existential” theory to analysis in the field of semiotics, phenomenology, aesthetics,psychology, philosophy of subjectivity and existential philosophy, tries to uncover aMinistry of dusty history, and gives them freedom or reconstructs their right to exist andthe pursuit of value, gradually derivatives to entire groups of women or the meaning ofexistence of human society. Mainly through literature, comparative analysis, casestudies and other methods, the whole article gives out discussion from seven aspects.Firstly, the developing way of the history of Chinese women painting and Chinesewomen self-portraits development of a context are showed and analyzed, research statusquo of domestic and international female artist self-portrait are elaborated, pointing tothe main self-portrait of female art works, and the combining Western self-existence ofthe philosophy of Marxism and subjectivity of the combing and analysis of the theorywhich is related, this paper systematically combs and analyzes self-portraits self-couscous’s performance, development and evolution, as well as carries out theclassification of contemporary Chinese women artists from the portrait works arepresented out of the complex, resolves the self-portrait of the self-exists from thedimensions of time and space. Secondly, the papers focus on the analysis andelaboration to self-survival space and the spirit of space presented out of femaleself-portrait works, including the survival of the way and the survival of the state whichis unfolded, and give out in-depth analysis of this self-the system combining withpersonal practice of self-portrait creation. Finally, value and significance of womenfrom self-portrait works are displayed and analyzed, to build the understanding of whatis the value and meaning under the means and states of today’s female self-existence,and to advocate that all painting creations should be in respect of self, understand self,plus excavate form of to surmount self-existence.
