This dissertation focuses on the actual application of the SQL3R approachwhich was adapted by Jin Zhijun on the basis of the SQ3R method. Unlike thelatter one which deals mainly with reading class, the SQL3R suits the listeningclass. Given that what has been discussed so far is but a quantitativedescription of SQL3R and lacks, arguably more convinced proof that it worksjust fine as it is conceived, the listening exercises here in this dissertationdesigned under the SQL3R approach stands out as a creative combination ofeffective teaching method.As the conclusion reveals itself, not only the advantages but thedisadvantages of SQL3R approach was testified and pointed out.On top of allthat, suggestions for further rectification and improvement were posed,making this dissertation more pioneering and valuable.
