In the Chinese American writers, Amy Tan is undoubtedly of the most representative one. In1989, the Joy Luck Club publication, Amy Tan became an overnight star of American literature. The novel was ranked on the United States bestseller list in40weeks, then she has published The Kitchen God’s Wife (1991)、The Hundred Secret Senses (1995)、The Bonesetters’s Daughter(2001) and Saving Fish From Drowning (2005). This article will renew read the two generation diaspora image in Amy Tan’s five novels from the" Diaspora" criticism perspective, embassies in their two cultures, the confusion, frustration and struggle of two worlds. And at last,through the mother’s personal memory and power of Chinese culture to elimination of the two generation’s confused, cast off this kind of predicament, ultimately find and reconstruct themselves subject.The last half of the twentieth Century, along with the postmodern context of globalization, appeared large quantities of diaspora who no longer belong to a single region or a fixed identity". So the Chinese American as a diasporas’groups, significantly showed diaspora groups cultural convergence characteristics in cultural identity construction. From the perspective of diaspora theory to anises Chinese American identity, is good to understand the Diaspora Literature and diaspora cultural, then to deepen understanding Chinese American literature, finally can better grasp the cultural characteristics of Chinese American literature.This article is divided into seven parts. The introduction is to do simple generalization and comb of Diaspora" theory, and review of the development of diaspora image in the Chinese American literature. The first chapter emphasizes the works of Amy Tan in the diaspora who image and its characteristics. The second and third and firth chapters are respectively from the root drifting, identity crisis and the discourse right away to analyze mother and daughter’s dilemma. The three chapters in the study of culture identity, postcolonial criticism of the theory of discourse analysis and care of two generation diaspora who although growth environment and difficulties are different, but they are caught in the racial and cultural dilemma and struggling in their main body construction in race, culture. The last chapter describes their two generation diaspora who cast off this kind of predicament of attempts and exploration. Detailed analysis of the story and the power of Chinese culture. The Storytelling, namely from their mother’s Chinese stories and racial memory for confidence and strength, by restoring the racial memory to restore full personality, establish the unique cultural identity and courage.
