OBJECTIVE: ENDOMETRIOSIS is one of a complex disease in gynecology, it happens tomost of the women who are in child-bearing period. In recent years, the episodic rate hasbecome higher than before. But we don’t know what it’s happen and development. Inrecent years, it’s has been reported that endometriosis is an immunity illness. The ectopicendometrium’s adherence and chappow and angiogenes are significant in the occurrence andprogression of endometriosis. The NO in eutopic endometrium takes part in adjusting thatcourse. At present, medical therapies and surgery are used for treatment of endometriosis.But there are some problems: the rate of recurrence after surgery is high; and after thepseudomenopause therapy and spurious pregnancy therapy also have the problems ofrecurrence and ill effect; the price of GnRH-αtherapy is high. And patients cannot maintainthe therapy in a long time because of the ill effect. So it is an important topic that exploresthe effective therapy of endometriosis. In order to explore the episodic mechanism ofendometriosis and provide an effective therapy, my supervisor, Professor Gao believes that"nephridium deficiency and liver gloom, cold accumulation and blood stasis" is thepathogenesis of endometriosis .She makes Xiaozhengyin and use it to treats this disease,adquiring well-pleasing clinical effects. Objective: By observing the curative effect and theeffect on the pain of Xiaozhengyin in treating Endometriosis, we explore the episodicmechanism of endometriosis and provide an effective therapy from the area of theserumlevel of NO in endometriosis.METHODS: Clinical observation: Thirty cases with endometriosis treated withXiaozhengyin,taking itself control. And choose 15 healthy women as the control group inthe NO in eutopic endometrium .Three months treatment successively is a course. Theamelioration of the symptoms and physical signs were determined. The presence andseverity ofdysmenorrhea and nonmenstrual pelvic pain, and the serumlevel of NO inendometriosis. RESULTS: Aftertreatment, the effective rate of this therapy was 90.0%. The scores ofdysmenorrhea and nonmenstrual pelvic pain were significantly reduced (P<0.01), chocolatecysts size were significantly decreased (P<0.01).Before treatment, the concentration of NOof the pain group was apparently higher than that of the no-pain group and the healthygroup. After treatment, the concentration of NO of the pain group was lowered to near thatof the on-pain group. It showed that regulating the concentration of NO might be one of themechanisms of the therapy.CONCLUSIONS: The therapy of Xiaozhengyin showed marked clinical effects in treatingendometriosis, especially in treating pain of endometriosis. Presuming, by reducing theconcentration of NO of the endometriosis, the therapy of Xiaozhengyin can rectify theimmunity dysfunction and alleviate the patients.
