Expression And Clinic Significance Of MIF And MMP-9in Gastric Cancer Tissue

[Objective] To explore the expression and clinical significance of MIF and MMP-9ingastric cancer.We are planned to detect the expression of MIF and MMP-9in gastriccancer and corresponding para-carcinoma tissue.[Methods](1) Using immunohistochemical (SP method) to detect the expression ofMIF and MMP-9in80cases of gastric cancer and corresponding para-carcinoma tissue;(2) Analysis the relationship that between the expression of MIF and MMP-9and the occurrence, development, differentiation, clinical stages, lymph nodemetastasis and prognosis of the gastric cancer;(3) SPSS13.0statistical package was used for statistical analysis.[Results](1) The Expression of MIF The positive expression of MIF in gastric cancerwas significantly higher than corresponding para-carcinoma tissue(χ2=21.028, P＜0.01);the positive expression in case of violate serosa and serosa outside was higher than thecase of violate mucosa and muscular layer(χ2=9.600, P＜0.01); the positive expressionof MIF in poorly differentiated carcinoma was higher than well-differentiatedcarcinoma(χ2=6.061， P＜0.05); the positive expression in case of lymph nodemetastasis positive was higher than the case of lymph node metastasis negative(χ2=7.776，P＜0.01); the positive expression of MIF in TNM stage Ⅲ＋Ⅳwas higher than that in stage Ⅰ＋Ⅱ(χ2=8.052，P＜0.01). The expression of MIF hasno obvious statistical significance with the patient’s gender, age, tumor size and tumorsite(P＞0.05).(2) The Expression of MMP-9The positive expression of MMP-9in gastriccancer was higher than corresponding para-carcinoma tissue(χ2=14.436, P＜0.001); thepositive expression in case of violate serosa and serosa outside was higher than the caseof violate mucosa and muscular layer(χ2=5.696, P＜0.05); the positive expression incase of lymph node metastasis positive was higher than the case of lymph nodemetastasis negative(χ2=6.542，P＜0.05); the positive expression of MIF in TNM stageⅢ＋Ⅳ was higher than that in stage Ⅰ＋Ⅱ(χ2=9.213，P＜0.01). The expression ofMIF has no obvious statistical significance with the patient’s gender, age, tumorsize,tumor differentiated and tumor site(P＞0.05).(3) The expression of MIF and MMP-9and prognosis The group of MIFexpression positive,1-year,3-year,5-year survival rates were81.5%,49.6%,31.0%;thegroup of expression negative,1-year,3-year,5-year survival rateswere100.0%,87.5%,75.0%; and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.818，P＜0.05). The group of MMP-9expression positive,1-year,3-year,5-year survival rateswere75.4%,63.2%,45.6%;the group of expression negative,1-year,3-year,5-yearsurvival rates were98.0%,81.8%,72.3%; and the difference was statisticallysignificant(χ2=21.510，P＜0.05).(4) The Relationship between MIF and MMP-9In80cases of gastric cancertissue, the expression of MIF was positive in55cases, the expression of MMP-9waspositive for43cases;25cases of JAB1negative expression, in which RUNX3negative expression in14cases. Categorical variables correlation analysis (cross-classification of2×2table correlation analysis) was prompted expression of MIF and MMP-9(χ2=9.154,P=0.002＜0.01,r=0.338).[Conclusions](1) MIF and MMP-9high expressed in gastric cancer tissue,speculated that the involved in the occurrence of gastric cancer development；(2) Theexpression of MIF and MMP-9MIF were related with the metastasis and staging ofgastric cancer, can judge the prognosis of patients with gastric cancer;(3) MIF andMMP-9could be new tumor markers for gastric cancer to improve the rate ofdiagnosis of colorectal cancer.(4) MIF was positively correlated with the expressionof MMP-9in gastric cancer, through one or a variety of ways to participate bothdevelopment and metastasis of gastric cancer.
