Objective:By evaluating the effect of Hybrid Coat dentin protective film on the shear bond strength of different cements, provide evidence of correct using Hybrid Coat in clinic.Methods:Collect40premolar teeth which had no dental treatment and fix them in self-curing resin base. The same performer ground off the buccal and lingual enamel to form two parallel planes, make sure the area was greater than4X4mm. Then all the specimens were randomly divided into GIC, ZPCC, RMGIC, RC4groups, each group had10samples, five of them using buccal side as the experimental group, the remaining five using lingual side as experimental group. The experimental group was coated by Hybrid’Coat, the control group had no special treatment. Each sample used their cements to form4x4x2mm loading end. Then do shear bond strength test after24h, record shear bond strength and the type of breaking away. Analyze by SAS9.13statistics software. Each group chose a representative sample to observe the surface using SEM.Results:1.Using Hybrid Coat makes shear bond strength of GIC decrease3.798MPa, ZPCC decrease8.389MPa, RMGIC increase4.143MPa, RC increase5.628MPa.2. SEM showed that all Hybrid Coat layer was not damaged after shear experiment and can’t see dentin tubule structure. The control group can see dentin tubule structure, but was sealed by residual cements. Conclusion:1.Hybrid Coat can decrease the shear bond of GIC and ZPCC and increase the shear bond of RMGIC and RC.2. Hybrid Coat dentin protective film will not damage by the use of the binder, its dentin bonding performance is stable.
