ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of hyperbaric oxygenation on bone metabolism in osteoporosis rats with premature ovary failure (POF).MethodForty SPF Wistar rats are randomly divided into four groups:control group, model control group, hormone replacement therapy (HRT) group and hyperbaric oxygenation (HBO) group. Except control group, the others are administrated orally with triptegium wilfordii polyglycisidium (TWP) in order to establish premature ovary failure model. And then, rats in HRT group are administrated orally with estrogen and progestin. Rats in HBO group are treated with hyperbaric oxygenation and the same dosage of normal saline. Rats in control group and model control group are administrated orally with the same dosage of normal saline. The changes of bone alkaline phosphatase (BALP)、tartrate-resistant acid phospatase (TRACP) and anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) in serum in different groups are observed.Result1.Compared with control group, BALP and AMH are lower and TRACP are higher in model control group, all of the differences were statistically significant.2.After the rats treated with hormone in HRT group, the levels of TRACP in serum are lower, there are statistically significant; the levels of BALP and AMH are higher than model control group, the difference of BALP is statistically significant, but the difference of AMH is not statistically significant.3. compared with model control group, after treated with HBO, the levels of BALP and AMH are higher, and the levels of TRACP are lower, all differences are statistically significant.4. compared with HRT group, the leves of AMH are higher in HBO group, with statistical significance; Although the leves of BALP are lower and TRACP are higher, the differences are not statistically significant.ConclusionHyperbaric oxygenation can improve the function of ovaries and affect the bone metabolism in rats of premature ovary failure. It could promote the bone formation and control the bone absorption.
