Objective:Observe characteristics of Cytokeratin14,15expression level in normal esophageal tissues and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma tissues of different differentiation degree; Analysis relationship between occurrence and development of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and CK14, CK15expression level.Methods:Samples of Esophageal squamous epithelial tissue were collected in the first hospital of shanxi medical university, including55cases of carcinoma tissues and55cases of adjacent tissues. Immunohistochemical method was to used to compare CK14, CK15and PCNA expression levels in esophageal squamous carcinoma, the relationship between the clinical parameters and CK14, CK15expression levels are analyzed.Results:Expression positive rate of CK14, CK15and PCNA in esophageal squamous carcinoma were72.7%,63.6%and65.5%respectively, PCNA expression correlated positively with CK14and CK15expression respectively (r=0.585, P<0.001;r=0.405,P<0.001). Difference of CK14, CK15and PCNA positive expression was statistically significant in different differentiated carcinoma tissues(P <0.05). CK14,CK15levels were higher in High differentiation carcinoma tissue compared with Poorly differentiated carcinoma tissue, PCNA expression level enhancement in poorly differentiated carcinoma tissue. CK14, CK15and PCNA expression were localised to base layer of esophageal squamous epithelial adjacent to carcinoma tissue, expression positive rate were56.4%>、52.7%、56.4%. CK14, CK15and PCNA expression difference respectively in group of far cut edge in normal tissue adjacent to carcinoma group, the tissue adjacent to carcinoma group nearly cut edge (P>0.05). e with intraepithelial neoplasia and cancerous tissue was statistically significant (P<0.05). The relationship between CK14, CK15expression and the clinical parameters have no statistical significanc Postoperative survival in patients of CK14,CK15positive expression with less than postoperative survival of patients of negative expression (x2=4.352,P=0.037; x2=9.852, P=0.002).Conclusion:CK14, CK15positive expression localised to base layer of esophageal squamous epithelial adjacent to carcinoma tissue play roles in generating and differentiation process of esophageal squamous cell cancer. CK14, CK15positive expression in esophageal squamous carcinoma involved in differentiation process. Joint detection of CK14, CK15expression have clinical application value to the early diagnosis, the degree of differentiation and prognostic judgement in esophageal squamous carcinoma.
