Study Clinical Outcomes Of The Nimodipine Injection Which Is Used In The Neurosurgical Clipping Of Intracranial Aneurysms

Objective: To study clinical outcomes of the Nimodipine injection,which is based onthe ratio of1:10dubbed by the500ml of saline solution and50ml of nimodipine,whichis used in neurosurgical clipping of intracranial aneurysms.Methods: We enrolled60patients whose Hunt-Hess classification was in one to threeleve and who had intracranial aneurysm clipped by surgical operation in our hospitalfrom January2012to April2013. We equally assigned them to lavage group(nimodipine was used in operation) and control group (nimodipine was not used inoperation).In the lavage group, there are15male and15female,aged33to72yearsold(52years old on average), including12cases of anterior communicating arteryaneurysm,8cases of middle cerebral aneurysms and10cases of posteriorcommunicating artery aneurysm..In the control group, there are10male and20female,aged22to70years old(53years old on average), including14cases of anteriorcommunicating artery aneurysm,6cases of middle cerebral aneurysms and10cases ofposterior communicating artery aneurysm. The groups of hospitalization days,postoperative CT changes on the first day、 discharge and follow-up prognosis(assessedby modified Rankin scale) were analyzed. Results: In prognosis, according to the score sheet, the lavage group gained an averageof1.17,while the control group gained an average of1.37; In the postoperativeinfarction rate,there are four cases of the lavage group, three cases of the controlgroup.Lavage group and the control group on the postoperative infarction rate andoutcomes（discharge and follow-up） had no statistical significance (P>0.05)Conclusions:The Nimodipine injection which is used in the neurosurgical clippingintracranial aneurysms had no clinical value. Also needed to increase the sample size ordesign of multi-center prospective randomized study in order to get a more convincingconclusion...
