OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of dynamic hip screw(DHS) and proximal femoral nail anti-rotation(PFN) in treatment of intertrochanteric fractures of femur in elder.METHODS:49cases of intertrochanteric fractures of femur in elder divided into two groups and were treated with DHS and PFN, respectively. Multiple indexes were record intra and post operatively, and analyzed by SPSS19.0.RESULTS:The incision length, operation time and intraoperative blood loss of PFN group were better than DHS group[(6±0.8) cm vs.(10±3.5) cm,(90±15) min vs.(110±20) min,(180±113) ml vs.(275±121) ml], the difference was significant (P<0.05)。The Harris score and therapeutic effect evaluating of PFN group were superior to DHS group(87.2±7.4vs.75.5±8.9,95.8%vs.88.0%), the difference was significant (P<0.05). The difference of complication and fracture healing time were not significant.CONCLUSION:Compared with DHS, PFN has advantages, it could be recommended in clinical practice.
