Objective To explore the protective effects of sevoflurane on renal function inacute renal ischemia-reperfusion injury.Methods90healthy SD rats were selected, and randomly divided into threegroups:sham-operated group(A group),control group(B group), Sevoflurane waschemia/reperfusion group(C group), establishment of renal ischemia-reperfusionmodel. Determination of mean arterial pressure of rats in each group (MAP),partialpressure of carbon dioxide (PCO2), blood urea nitrogen (BUN), creatinine(Cr) andsuperoxide dismutase (SOD) changes in renal tissue of rats, the pathologicalchanges were observed by HE staining.Results With the gradual increase in the concentration of sevoflurance, themean arterial pressure of the rats decreased, but the usual clinical doses in the rangeof sevoflurane concentration within2%-3%, rats MAP fluctuations at92.1±6.0mmHg. Each group before ischemia and after reperfusion,and there is nosignificant difference of PCO2concentration. The BUN and Cr of B group and Cgroup after reperfusion12h,24h were significantly higher than that in A group (P <0.05), but C group at the same time point of BUN, Cr levels were decreasedsignificantly compared with B group (P <0.05). Compared with the A group, theserum SOD activity of C group and B group were was significantly decreased (P <0.05), But the activity of SOD of C group was higher than B group, this differenceis statistically significant.(P <0.05, see Table4.) Observed renal pathological, therenal tissue structure of A group was integrity, B group of renal outermedullary tissue damage, but the C group kidney tubular tissue damage smaller, relatively complete. The selection of experimental animal serum cystatinC in this test (CystatinC,CysC) changes as a response to renal ischemiareperfusioninjuryindication.Compared with the pseudo operation group, control group,sevoflurane preconditioning group of serum cystatin C were significantlyincreased ((P <0.05). Compared with the control group, sevoflurane pretreatmentserum cystatin C levels decreased ((P <0.05).Conclusion Sevoflurane inhalation anesthesia can effectively reduce BUN, Crlevel, increase serum SOD activity, and thus, on acute renal ischemia/reperfusioninjury has a protective effect on renal function.
