Objective:The purpose of this study was to retrospectively analyze the clinical pathologiccharacteristics, treatment and their correlation to prognosis of476breast cancerpatients who had been treated in our tumor center. Methods:After collecting the clinical pathologic characteristics of476breast cancerpatients who were treated with adjuvant chemotherapy in our department fromJanuary2007to December2010,we improved and perfected the clinical database ofbreast cancer in our center. Then we used COX proportional hazards regressionmodels to analyze the prognosis factors of breast cancer.Results:1.The3-year overall rate and disease free survival rate for424patients who hadcomplete follow-up data was97.6%and94.3%.2.The regular treatment coincidence rate of the476patients in chemotherapy, radiotherapy, endocrine therapy and target therapy was92.4%,91.8%,78.9%and24.1%, respectively.3.Single factor analysis that influenced DFS revealed that age, tumor size, thenumber of lymph node metastasis, vascular tumor emboli, hormone receptor status,HER-2expression, recurrent risk, TNM stage and molecular subtype weresignificantly associated with the recurrence of these patients(P<0.05). Multifactoranalysis demonstrated hormone receptor status and HER-2expression wereindependent prognostic factors of breast cancer DFS (P<0.05).4. Single factor analysis that influenced OS revealed that tumor size, the numberof lymph node metastasis, TNM stage, vascular tumor emboli, hormone receptor status, HER-2expression and recurrent risk were significantly associated with the survivalrate of these patients(P<0.05). Multifactor analysis demonstrated the number oflymph node metastasis, hormone receptor status and HER-2expression wereindependent prognostic factors of breast cancer OS (P<0.05).Conclusion:The number of lymph node metastasis, hormone receptor status and HER-2expression are significant independent indicators of prognosis in breast cancerrespectively.
