Objective:To research three different intervertebral fusion devices: thebone, bone cage, titanium mesh placed at L4-5intervertebral.Attachedwith pedicle screw fixation system, by measuring displacement of thelumbar spine in compression, flexion, extension, left bending and theright lateral bending direction, Give an objective evaluation to theimmediate stabilization of the lumbar vertebra of three kinds ofintervertebral fusion devices according to statistical analysis. Methods:The thirty porcine spine specimens with T12to T5wererandomly divided into three groups: posterior intervertebral fusion withinterbody titanium mesh group (group A),bone cage group (group B),bone graft group (group C) and control group (Group D),each group have8specimens.To simulate the biological function of human, give thespecimens anteflexion, extension, leftside bending, right side bending, compression test,do measurement of every specimen displacement databy the help of the electronicaluniversal testing machine.Statisticalanalysis using the SPSS16.0software package (SPSS, Chicago, IL,USA),Data was demonstrated±S.Differences among the groups werecompared using Sceffe method.P <0.05as significant statisticaldifference。Results:The measuring results show that the displacement of the titaniummesh group(group A) were less than the bone cage group (group B) and bone graft group (C group) under the compression, anteflexion, extension, left side bending, right side bending condition. Conclusions:Objectively indicate additional posterior lumbar interbodyfusion with pedicle screw fixation systems, interbody fusion usingtitanium mesh, than bone and bone cage to make a stronger immediatestability of the lumbar spine.
