Spartina alterniflora Loisel, Perennial herbs, belongs to the family Branch, genus Spartina S. alterniflora is suitable for the life of the intertidal zone and originates in the Americas and the Atlantic coast of the Gulf of Mexico. Since the stalks of the S. alterniflora are densely thick and the underground rhizomes are developed, S. alterniflora can promote Sediment rapid subsidence and siltation, which as the material of coastal shoreline ecological engineering was introduced to China from the United States in1979. However, due to the S. alterniflora have superior reproductive capacity and lack predators in the living environment of our country, resulting in their overgrowth, and leading to the balance of ecosystems in coastal, rivers and other areas suffered serious damage. This article is from the perspective of resource utilization, to explore the potential application of the S. alterniflora. Using antioxidant activity tracking in vitro for S. alterniflora to find out the antioxidant chemical constituents of the active site. To provide a reference for the further construction of the marine natural product compound libraries and the finding of lead compounds. With total flavonoids as the reference standard, to optimize the extraction process of S. alterniflora (floor area) using response surface methodology. By using organic solvents with different polarities, such as petroleum ether, ethyl acetate, n-butanol, to divided the extract of S. alterniflora; using DPPH method to screen antioxidant activities in various parts of the different polar extracts in vitro. By means of silica gel column, Sephadex LH-20gel column, Recrystallization and Pre-parative liquid,20compounds together were isolated from the screened active site (ethylacet-ate extract). By1H,13C NMR, mass spectroscopy, we have determined the structures of those compounds, based on the analysis of spectrum and comparison with the related references. The structures are identified as stigmast-4-ene-3,6-dione、ergosterol、stigmast-4-en-6β-ol-3-one、p-Hydroxybenzaldehyde、Lignoceric acid-1-glycerol、Hydroxy cinnamic aldehyde、Lignoceryl Alcohol、Lupenol、tricin、 S-(+)-dehydrov-omifoliol、syringaldehyde、1H-Indole-3-aldehyde、2,3-Dihydro-indole、3,5-dihydroxyfuran-2(5H)-one、Glyceryl ferulate. These compounds were isolated from the plant, and also from the Spartina genus plants for the first time.
