Human life expectancy is growing with the development of medical science andtechnology and China is getting into aging society. The prevalence of cognitiveimpairment showed an increasing trend year by year. With the higher prevalence ofcerebrovascular disease, the incidence of vascular cognitive impairment ratealso increased year by year.Cerebral vascular cognitive impairment in the elderly hasseriously affected thephysical and mental health, but also brings heavy burden to theirfamily and the society. Therefore, early diagnosis timely and effective drugs which areselected to block the progress of the disease have an important clinical significance.Objective:To observe the improvement of Yangxueqingnao granulaon on patients’ cognitivedisorder with vascular cognitive impairment.Materials and Methods:This study selected from2011March to2012November in No.1Hospital of JilinUniversity Affiliated Hospital, Dalian Medical University, from Dalian Institute oftraditional Chinese medicine, the first hospital of Harbin Medical University, JilinProvince Hospital of traditional Chinese and Western medicine, the two zero eighthospital of PLA, Jilin provincialhospital, JilinProvince Institute of medicine nine neurological department of InternalMedicine Hospital of421patients with VCI treated patients. All subjects are eligiblefor screening and voluntarily signed an informed consent form into groups. Andthen complete the relevant laboratory examination, imaging examination andneuropsychological assessment. The group of first day oral Yangxue QingnaoGranule, and telephone monitor patients taking medicine during the3months. After3months continuous treatment, researher should complete relevant laboratoryexamination, imaging examination, neuropsychological assessment, and recordedthe adverse events. Results:The MMSE score before administration was19.70±1.51, and20.53±1.86afteradministration. p <0.01,it was a significant difference. The MoCA score before andafter administration were19.43±3.60and20.46±3.77. p <0.01,it was a significantdifference. ADL score before and after administration were27.86±4.11and26.89±3.89respectively. p <0.01,it was a significant difference. In thecognitive function, memory, attention and naming ability has improved ignificantly inthe before and after treatment.Clinical observation results showed that there was no significant impact onroutine blood, urine blood coagulation routine and clotting function afteradministration. Nine patients had higher alanine aminotransferase, but review becamenormal after2weeks. Seven patients had higher urea nitrogen, but review becamenormal after2weeks. Eleven non diabetic patients had higher fasting blood glucose,and review became normal after2weeks too. During treatment, there were5patientsgot anorexia and2patients with vomiting. The adverse reaction after thesubjects without the use of drugs and other Special treatment, privateprosecution after the symptoms disappeared after the break.Conclusions:1. After3months of treatment, Yangxueqingnao granula can improve vascularcognitive impairment patients’ neuropsychological scale integral function.2. In the cognitive function, memory, attention and naming ability has improvedignificantly in the before and after treatment.3. In daily life, take a shower, toilet, shopping, light housework and heavy housework fiveaspects ability has improved, especially the ability to finish the housework increase.4. Yangxueqingnao granula was safe and had a low incidence of adverse effect for along-term use.
