Objective:To discuss treatment and prognosis of pneumonia caused by P. aeruginosa.Methods:Seclect211inpatient infected pneumonia caused by P. aeruginosa from Jan2011to Feb2013in our hospital as objects. According to antimicrobial susceptibility, P. aeruginosa strains were separated into non-MDR P. aeruginosa and MDR P. aeruginosa strains, discuss treatment and prognosis of pneumonia caused by non-MDR P. aeruginosa and MDR P. aeruginosa. Results:The efficiency of pneumonia caused by non-MDR P. aeruginosa and MDR P. aeruginosa were91.0%(144/155) and35.7%(20/56), respectively, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The mortality were2.6%(4/155) and32.1%(18/56), respectively, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). There was no significant difference in efficiency of pneumonia infected by non-MDR P. aeruginosa between monotherapy and combination therapy(P>0.05). The clinical monotherapy efficacy rates of pneumonia caused by non-MDR P. aeruginosa were85%(34/40)、74%(37/50)、55.6%(15/27) and52.2%(12/23) respectively treated with Imipenem, cefoperazone/sulbactam, piperacillin/tazobactam and moxifloxacin, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05), combination therapy can reduce average hospitalization days(P<0.05). There was no significant difference in efficiency and average hospitalization days of pneumonia infected by MDR P. aeruginosa between monotherapy and combination therapy (P>0.05).Conclusion:The efficiency of pneumonia caused by non-MDR P. aeruginosa is good, which has a low mortality, combination therapy can reduce pneumonia average hospitalization days caused by non-MDR P. aeruginosa. The efficiency of pneumonia caused by MDR P. aeruginosa is low, which has a high mortality.
