Objective:To analyze the clinical and imaging characteristics of moyamoya disease, and explore the value of various auxiliary examination in the diagnostic practice for MMD.Methods:We reviewd retrospectively25MMD patients admitted indepartment of Neurology in our hospital from August2012to December2013.The patient gender, age of onset, clinical manifestations, imaginganalysis, and other aspects of treatment and prognosis were analyzed.Result:1.We reviewed25patients including13cases of male and12cases of female. The onset age ranged from21years to59years, with an averageage of43and the peak onset age in41-45.2.All the25patients had no significant incentives and showed different clinical manifestations.19cases showed ischemic cerebrovascular disease including12cases of cerebral infarction and7cases of transient ischemic attack.6cases showed hemorrhagic cerebrovascular disease including cerebral hemorrhage (3cases), ventricular hemorrhage (2cases), subarachnoid hemorrhage(1case).3.25patients were performed DSA examination which manifested the ends of bilateral internal carotid artery stenosis in2cases, block in6cases, bilateral middle cerebral artery occlusion in4cases, anterior cerebral artery and the contralateral middle cerebral artery stenosis or occlusion in3, unilateral middle cerebral artery stenosis in4cases, unilateral middle cerebral artery occlusion in5cases, ipsilateral middle cerebral artery andanterior cerebral artery stenosis in1case, concurren aneurysm in3cases.4.25patients were performed TCD examination. Those diagnoised vascular stenosis or occlusion by TCD examination were confirmed by DSAexamination.Conclusion:1.The peak onset age of adult with moyamoya disease ranged from41to45years old.2. Proportion of adult patient with ischemic moyamoya disease is increased obviously.3.DSA staging is given priority to with3ischemic moyamoyadisease, and DSA blood group moyamoya disease staging is given priorityto with4,5.4. The blood vessels, blood type patients with moyamoya diseaseoften combine the aneurysm.5.TCD specificity for the diagnosis of moyamoya disease to a certainextent, the detection rate is higher in patients with stage3and4,with theresult of DSA meaningful, therefore TCD can be widely used in thescreening of moyamoya disease.
