Objective: Research the relationship between the24-hour ambulatoryblood pressure variability and cysteine. Methods: From March2013to December2013,we collected60patientswho suffered high blood pressure in the department of cardiology of theSecond Affilated Hospital of Hebei Medical University. Among them, therewere36males and24females. We recorded the data of hyperppietics: gender, age, coronary heart disease, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and cerebrovasculardisease, and the degree of folic acid and vitamin B12. Meanwhile we observedthe patients’ ambulatory blood pressure for24hours. We recorded every index. The valid numbers recorded in24hours should be bigger than70percent ofthe recorded numbers. They should be continuously recorded in two hours. Then we got their index of blood pressure variability, which was indicated bystandard derivation(24-hour systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, and the average pressure standard derivation, as well as that of daytime andnighttime). The patients’ degree of cysteine, folic acid and vitamin B12werealso obtained.Their situations of coronary heart disease, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and cerebrovascular disease were recorded. We appliedstatistics to analyze the relationship between the degree of cysteine and that offolic acid and vitamin B12, and the relationship between the degree ofcysteine and each index of blood pressure variability. First of all, according tothe degree of cysteine,60patients were divided into high degree group(Hcy>15.4ummo/L) and low degree group(Hcy<15.4ummol/L).We tested thedegree of folic acid and vitamin B12between the two samples,as well as everyindex of blood pressure variability. Then we observed the relationship betweenthe degree of cysteine and that of folic acid and vitamin B12, and therelationship between the degree of cysteine and each index of blood pressure variability. With various factors, we analyze the relationship between thedegree of cysteine and each index of blood pressure variability by Logisticregression analysis. We also found out dangerous factors related to the degreeof cysteine and confirmed the relationship between the degree of cysteine andblood pressure variability. Next we drew diagrams to understand the trends ofthe degree of cysteine in relation to gender, age, coronary heart disease, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, cerebrovascular disease, the degree of folic acid andvitamin B12and blood pressure variability. According to the diagrams, weroughly determined the relationship among variable quantities. In this research, there were many independent variables, and some of them were related to eachother, so we applied to statistic method of regression analysis.Results:1The test showed that the difference was statistically significant for thedegree of folic acid and vitamin B12between high group and low group. Sowas it for the standard derivation of the24-hour systolic blood pressure, thedaytime systolic blood pressure, the daytime diastolic blood pressure, thenighttime diastolic blood pressure, the24-hour average pressure. We alsofound that there was a negative correlation between the degree of folic acidand vitamin B12and that of cysteine. The above indexes of blood pressurevariability was positively related to the degree of cysteine.2According to the results of Logistic regression analysis, the differenceof was statistically significant between the degree of cysteine and the folicacid, vitamin B12, coronary heart disease, and the standard derivation of thethe24-hour systolic blood pressure, the daytime systolic blood pressure, thenighttime systolic blood pressure, the nighttime average pressure.Conclusions:1There was a negative correlation between the degree of folic acid andvitamin B12and that of cysteine.2There was a positive correlation between the degree of cysteine and thestandard derivation of the24-hour systolic blood pressure, the daytime systolicblood pressure, the daytime diastolic blood pressure, the nighttime diastolic blood pressure, the24-hour average pressure.3The degree of cysteine was a factor that affected Blood pressurevariability. Coronary heart disease was correlated with the degree of cysteine.
