The auto capacity in Chinese market is in a state of increasing with the development of Chinese auto industry. As a result the accident number also keeps on rising. The pedestrian is in an exactly weak situation when an accident happens, and they need an extra attention. Especially child’s injury is more severely. Compared with other kind of injury, limb injury require much more time to recover. In the process of the accident happened between car and pedestrian, the injury form of child is different from adult. Because the height of the child is lower than adult. Children’s lower limbs will not be crashed directly by car which is totally different from the hit of adult. The injury of child’s limb is caused by the falling down and hitting the ground after accident. The property of limb is different between child and adult. The femur neck of child is more tensile than adult. It needs an explosion power to lead to a fracture. So most of the children’s femur neck fracture is a result of the high energy trauma by falling down in an accident. In the domestic scope the Authority finite element model of children’s lower limbs have not been built by now.Therefore, main works are as follows for making this dissertation:At first collecting the CT data and establishing the six year’s old child lower limb geometrical model by MIMICS which involves girdle bone hip bone, bones of free lower limb:femur patella, tibia, fibula and seven tarsal bone, five metatarsal bones fourteen phalanxes and muscular tissue. Exporting the file to Geomagic software to make the surface more smooth and creating the Non-Uniform Rational B-Splines which is suitable for the process of creating finite element model. Secondly Applying the True-Grid software to establish the finite element model which is based on the dissection structure of the femur and hip bone. After that, checking the quality of the model by HyperMesh, and adding the property material load and strain into the model to prepare for the analysis in LS-DYNA. At last doing the analysis based on LS-DYNA in two ways. Simulating the falling and crashing to the ground by adding a joint power to femur. Simulating the process of the high speed crash between femur and ground. Comparing the two experiments. Analysing the reason and the injury of the6years old Children femoral neck fracture.The establishment of the6years old Children hip joint finite element model and the simulation analysis have the function of the child falling down’s protection. It has an important theoretical and practical value of reducing the femoral neck damage. And the establishment of the6years old Children’s lower limb geometry model sets the stage for the establishment of the whole lower limb finite element model and simulation analysis in the future.
