Object:To study the expression and clinical significance of Nodal which is regulated gene of epithelial mesenchymal transition (epithelial mesenchymal transition,EMT) in lung adenocarcinoma. Methods:The expression of Nodal protein in80cases of lung adenocarcinoma tissue normal lung tissue were checked by immunohistochemistry. The relations with the expression of Nodal protein and the multiple factors of age,gender,P-TNM stage, differentiation and lymph node metastasis were analyzed statistically. Results:The expression rates of Nodal protein in lung adenocarcinoma and normal lung tissue were72.5%and15%, respectively (P<0.05);Positive expression rate of Nodal in lung adenocarcinoma is significantly higher than that of normal lung tissue; The expression of Nodal was associated with P-TNM stage, differentiation and lymph node metastasis (P<0.05)(x2=6.920、8.283、4.979);The expression of Nodal protein was not associated with the age and gender.(F>0.05)(χ2=0.600,0.928).Conclusion:Nodal protein in cancer tissues of lung adenocarcinoma have higher expression rate in normal lung tissues, suggesting that Nodal protein with lung adenocarcinoma is closely related; The expression of Nodal is closely associated with P-TNM stage and differentiation, it may bring help to determine the prognosis of patients.
