Objective:To study the treatment is adequate for Legg-Calve-Perthes desease by compared the curative effect used three different way to treat LCPD in our hospital recent years.Patients and Methods:Retrospective collection and analysis of the patients in our hospital from December1999to October2012carried out99hips of99patients of LCPD treatment data. Taking the99hips of99cases divided into4groups to observed and compared its curative effect like that:Group A—conservative therapy group1, the patients with LCPD with classification of Herring A or B, with <5years. Group B--conservative therapy group2, the patients with LCPD with classification of Herring B/C or C, with>5Years. Group C—Femur osteotomy group, the patients with LCPD with classification of Herring B/C.C, with regardless the Year. Group D—Salter ilium osteotomy group, the patients with LCPD with classification of Herring B/C.C, with regardless the Year. The outcomes were analyzed with Stulberg criteria. Results:After following up for2-10years, the excellent and good rate is, respectively:Group A,22of33hips is excellent or good with the successful rate of66.7%. Group B,8of21hips is excellent or good with the successful rate of38.1%. Group C,15of24hips is excellent or good with the successful rate of62.5%. Group D,13of21hips is excellent or good with the successful rate of61.9%. The curative effect of group A.C &D are better than it of group B. There is a statistic significant difference excellent and good rate between them(x2=12.273, P<0.05). All is conservative treatment, the curative effect of group A is better than it of group B. There is a statistic significant difference excellent and good rate between them(Z=-3.302, P<0.05). Even if the excellent and good rate of group A is higher than it of group C&D, but there is no statistic significant difference between them(x2=0.462, P>0.05). All are Herring B/C or C, the curative effect of group C&D are better than it of group B. There is a statistic significant difference excellent and good rate between them(x2=8.750, P<0.05).Conclusion:①Increased containment of the head of femur is a good way to treat LCPD.②LCPD smaller patients of light illnesses with Herring A or B are adequate for conservative therapy.③Bigger patients of severe state of LCPD with Herring B/C or C are adequate for operative treatment.
